Catwalk Institute proudly shares news about Nansi T. Lent (Catwalk 2018, NYU), whose exhibition, A Thread of Longing: Works from 1976–2026, opens this week at BAU Gallery in Beacon, New York. The exhibition brings together about 20 works spanning more than five decades, tracing Lent’s movement from figurative and narrative painting to recent abstractions that incorporate tally marks, repeated gestures, glyphs, layered color, and asemic writing. The exhibition considers longing, memory, communication, prayer, and the search for connection and meaning. BAU Gallery
