Application Process

Catwalk partners with Columbia University, NYU Tisch, Vassar College, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Penn State, and Mannes. Each of our academic partners nominates candidates from their alumni, faculty, and/or staff. Generally, candidates hold an MFA or equivalent level of professional experience. Catwalk determines the final list of awardees.

Applicants may apply based on a wide range of artistic disciplines, either as individual artists or as the leader of a collaborative team. Catwalk is committed to fostering the creation of new art and is always open to new ideas and to helping residents expand what might be possible in the creative process.
