Apa Agbayani is a Filipino writer-director based in New York; he’s working through his feelings with magic. Apa started out directing music videos for indie artists in the Philippines then continued towards films. He’s finishing a Film MFA (Screenwriting & Directing) at Columbia University. At the Catwalk Art Residency, he plans to complete a draft of his feature screenplay Between the Flights, an exploration of time, space, labor, and loneliness through the intersecting lives of two Filipina flight attendants who share a flat in Hong Kong but never see each other in it.
