Vivian Wu
Vivian Wu is a cellist, music educator and recent graduate of the Mannes School of Music, where she earned her master’s degree in cello performance. A first-time Catwalk resident, Vivian is passionate about expanding the cello repertoire through the works of historically underrepresented composers. During her residency, she will collaborate with pianist/composer Lynn Yuto research, edit, and curate a collection of cello works by women composers, including original pieces and newly arranged adaptations. The project will culminate in a performance-ready anthology and accompanying recordings, laying the foundation for future publication and wider educational use.
