Susan Skoog is an award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter, and educator who holds a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied at the Stella Adler Conservatory, and an MFA in Screenwriting from National University. During her residency, she will develop a feature film centered on a young artist in the 1990s who awakens after a drug-fueled night to discover her mentor dead. The project examines the blurred boundaries between consent and abuse, while exploring the psychological and cultural forces that keep women entangled in harmful relationships. The film also considers evolving perspectives on agency, power, sexuality, and ambition across Gen X, Millennial, and Gen Z women.
