Julia’s project, In-Residence: Domestic Space Preservation and Contemporary Art in the Hudson Valley, grew out of her senior thesis at Vassar College. This research explores how artist residencies activate historic buildings, weaving together archival and contemporary sources into a unified narrative. During her time at Catwalk, she will expand on this work, reflecting the layered approach of her collage-based practice.
