Dante Migone-Ojeda

Dante Migone-Ojeda is a Peruvian-American sculptor born in Southern Illinois and based in Ridgewood, Queens, New York. Informed by his experience growing up in the American heartland as the child of immigrants, his practice explores syncretism as both a reflection of and response to mestizaje and its colonial and neo-colonial legacies. During his residency at Catwalk, he will continue developing a body of work that examines the complex relationship between land, water, and the dynamics of diaspora.
