JUDD MORRISSEY & MARK JEFFERY: THE PORCH AS A STAGE

A porch can be a threshold, a gathering place, a place to watch the world—or a stage.

That idea sits at the heart of Leopold Benches: A P(o)or(t)ch Theater, the latest project from longtime collaborators Judd Morrissey and Mark Jeffery, both 2005 Catwalk Institute alumni. Created with the Poor Farm Experiment, the work brings together stereoscopic photography and live performance to explore ideas of community, generosity, and shared space.

Following its September presentation at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the project continues its Chicago presence this fall as part of programming connected to SAIC Galleries.
