I would love to do my original solo show "How To Read Tarot Cards" at the Avalon Lounge, ideally for two nights. Past development includes a residency and workshop at The Cell NYC and a one-night presentation at the Firehouse Theatre in Newport, RI. The show runs an hour and has been described as a "TED talk/Tarot lecture that turns into a poignant standup memoir that turns into a live Tarot reading for a random audience member". Recent blurb of show here: https://www.newportlifemagazine.com/event/how-to-read-tarot-cards-a-play/ Tech needs include a projection screen and projector, a way to play sound cues, and some basic stage lights. This winter I attended a music event at Avalon that made heavy use of the projector, and the small space would be great for this intimate-feeling event. In Newport, we projected slides for the lecture and also used screen mirroring to show the Tarot cards in the live reading on the screen in real time. Jenny ran projections/visuals from one laptop and sound cues from the other; she would either be present or program Q-Lab for a tech person at the venue. Would love to partner/talk with Catwalk about marketing, but audience engagement plan could look like reaching out to Constellation, Magpie, local music venues and organizations that would be interested in the subject matter, although HTRTC is very much for Tarot "skeptics" as well and is more about tracking my relationship with my late father and how we approach what we can't control and either can't or refuse to "see".
