J. Spence Holman
A graduate of Vassar and MICA, Holman uses plants in his drawings to explore physical and internal space—flowers as memories, catalysts, and maps through trauma toward renewal. At Catwalk, he is developing Wish I were there, wish I were here, a series of postcard drawings creating a dialogue between his student self and his present self, bridging past and present in search of healing and hope.
Catwalk Institute proudly welcomes Sequoia Sellinger and collaborator Sarah Rossman, who are in residence developing a new musical.

Sarah Rossman
Sequoia Sellinger and Sarah Rossman are developing Next Year in Connecticut!, a musical love letter to dysfunctional families that explores how mental illness hijacks family systems, transforming relationships, and redefining normalcy. NYIC! features forbidden romance, Brisketgate, a dog shiva, an Exodus tap dance number, and hey, this might be the year that Elijah (the prophet) shows up! During their residency at Catwalk, they are excited to refine their use of the ensemble in both the text and the music to reflect the push and pull characters feel between individual identity and group identity.
