The Catwalk Drawing Workshop will be two day-long drawing workshops taking place on the 65-acre Catwalk Institute estate. This drawing workshop will offer instruction on the fundamentals of observational drawing, perspective drawing, and composition. Taking inspiration from the Hudson River Valley School artists, we will draw in the woods and bluffs overlooking the Hudson River. Participants will be guided in best practices and techniques when drawing ‘en plein air’ and have the opportunity to explore the Catwalk Institute grounds with a pencil and sketchbook in hand. The instructor will be Conor Dowdle, a former resident of Catwalk’s summer artist residency, and an educator and artist based in New York City.
