Brian Velsor is a Brooklyn-based screenwriter and director. He earned an MFA in Film from Columbia University School of the Arts in 2021 and has since written several short and feature length screenplays.  Stay Don’t Go, his Columbia MFA thesis film, screened at festivals across the country and was awarded Best Student Film by the Block Island Film Festival in 2022.  During the residency, he will be working on the first draft of a new feature film about the desperate manager of a young rock band struggling to record an album at an isolated, and possibly haunted, recording studio
